Former Seattle Seahawk Jerry Wunsch was joined by former Green Bay Packers Bill Schroeder, Seattle Seahawk Austin King and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Pete Pierson for a day of golf to support pediatric cancer patients at The Wunsch Family Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing. The event took place on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the beautiful Trapp River Golf Course in Wausau, WI. All proceeds will benefit children with cancer from various Wisconsin cities in attending our Circle of Friends Winter Week in 2008.
Jerry and his NFL supporters teamed up with 115 golfers to raise over $16,000 for the Foundation. All participants enjoyed a complimentary Brat Fry lunch by Abbyland Foods and a Pig Roast Dinner donated by Bob's Catering, K-Jen's Breezy View Farm and Custom Meats of Marathon. Coor's Light, Zastrow the Beer Man, Coca-Cola, Bacardi USA and Culligan Water provided beverages for all of the golfers.
Trapp River Golf Course was the perfect setting for this event. Its great layout and attentive staff helped to make the day a complete success.
We would like to thank all of the local businesses who donated the wonderful raffle items as well as the corporations who were hole sponsors. Thank you also to the patrons for spending a day of golf with us. It is because of people like you that we are able to continue to meet our goal of warming the heart of a child!
